The 11th annual holiday gala for the Shelby American Collection will be held on 1st December 2007 at its museum in Boulder and promises to be a very special occasion. This annual event serves to honor Carroll Shelby’s memorable race history, as well as his legendary Shelby American Team of the 1960s and the automobiles they built. Among the racing heroes to headline the event will be Carroll Shelby, Phil Remington, Lew Spencer and Bob Bondurant.

Development of the New Jersey Motorsports Park
Exciting times are ahead for the residents of Milville, New Jersey in the United States, and especially for motorsport enthusiasts. The construction of the New Jersey Motorsports Parkis well underway. Situated on more than 500 acres of land at the intersection of Dividing Creek Road and Buckshutem Road, the New Jersey Motorsports Park will feature two separate world-class racetracks and a first class carting circuit. In addition, there will be a clubhouse and all the amenities necessary to cater in style to the needs of auto racing fans as well as the drivers.

Singapore plans a F1 Street Circuit
The Singapore F1 Grand Prix date has been set – 28 September 2008. With just over a year to go, Singapore has begun putting great effort into preparing for its Formula 1 Grand Prix debut. As soon as the plans are finalized, Singapore will begin road works for its F1 street circuit.

Bernie Ecclestone Promotes Night Racing
When the Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone first mentioned that he would like to host a night race at the Asian Grand Prix, he was met with a variety of different opinions and concerns. Ecclestone commented that a night race in Asia should increase the number of television viewers, especially in Europe. It would then become a day race for the European enthusiasts, instead of being aired in the early hours of the morning. He also anticipates that the effect of the night race will be spectacular and hopefully draw a larger crowd of spectators.

Schumacher On the Brink of Buying Out Toro Rosso
There has been a lot of speculation and rumors in regard to the intentions Michael Schumacher might have to purchase the Formula One Team Scuderia Toro Rosso. Schumacher’s manager has been hinting at the possibility for months. For Michael Schumacher to have an interest, in a different role, in the sport he loves does not come as a big surprise. After his retirement from Formula One as a driver, the legendary seven-time world champion has been an adviser for his former Ferrari team.

Abu Dhabi hosting 2009 F1 Grand Prix
The management of Formula 1, announced to a excited and large gathering of supporters and drivers, that Adu Dhabi will be included into the 2009 Formula One racing schedule. The chairman and CEO of the Formula 1 management, Bernie Ecclestone, said that he was pleased to have Abu Dhabi as part of the Formula 1 family, and went on to express his confidence in the new member of the racing schedule. Abu Dhabi is the capital of the United Arab Emirates that offers a beautiful location surrounded by islands and spectacular beaches.
