Pontiac Grand Am in New Jersey

Teams racing the Pontiac Grand-Am Daytona Prototype and GT will be making their way to New Jersey for their next race on August 31. The race is set to take place at the brand new New Jersey Motorsports Park, which is located in Millville. The teams will be heating up the Thunderbolt Circuit at the park for the very first time and it will be interesting to note which drivers get a feel for the track the quickest in order to come out on top.

CJ Raceway to Host Ideal Ready Mix Sprint Invaders

Fans of the Ideal Ready Mix Sprint Invaders should make sure that they get themselves to the CJ Raceway on August 31st for the next installment of this action packed racing series. The event is set to take place at the 4/10 mile raceway in Columbus Junction, Iowa, for the first time this year under the guidance of promotional agency Checkered Flag Promotions.

Joe Gibbs Racing Signs Up Joey Logano

Eighteen-year-old racing phenomenon Joey Logano is about to take one of the biggest steps of his career – racing in the 2009 Sprint Cup Series in the No. 20 Home Depot Camry as part of the Joe Gibbs Racing team. Logano is already quite used to racing with people who are much older than he is and he is looking forward to the challenge.

Massa Makes Light Work of Valencia Circuit

With the European Grand Prix starting at a new venue on Sunday, it was hard to predict who’d race the circuit the best and come out on top. The new circuit took the cars around the harbor streets of Valencia, Spain, providing a scenic backdrop to an exciting race. In the end it was Felipe Massa who took the checkered flag.

Meyers Looking to Get First Series Title

Jason Meyers has been hard at work climbing his way through the Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series standings. After some aggressive driving he has managed to cut Donny Schatz’s lead to 115 markers. Meyers currently leads the series with 34 Top-Five finishes – the last fifteen of which have been consecutive. If he continues at his current pace, Meyers’ chances of winning his first series title will be very good.
