Two-car tandem racing has become a feature at Daytona and Talladega, with drivers working together to gain the highest speed possible around the track. In this two-car collaboration the trailing driver pushes the lead car around the track.
Busch Gains 100th Victory
The Nationwide New England 200, a NASCAR event, was hosted at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Saturday, 16 July 2011, and it was an event that was filled with excitement and nail-biting moments. Kyle Busch enjoyed a significant victory in this event, as he secured his 100th win and is now one of three drivers in the NASCAR Series that has managed to claim a hundred victories. The number one driver at this stage is Richard Petty with two hundred NASCAR victories, followed by David Pearson with a hundred and six.
Raikkonen Signs with Kyle Busch Motorsports
Many NASCAR, Rally and Formula 1 fans were speculating on the future of Kimi Raikkonen, as there were rumors that he might be moving over to NASCAR like his former McLaren team mate, Juan Pablo Montoya. But up until Saturday it was merely stories. On Saturday the formal announcement was made that Kimi Raikkonen had signed with Kyle Busch Motorsports, and confirmed that Raikkonen was leaving rally driving behind to enter the world of NASCAR. It is hoped that Kyle Busch’s NASCAR experience and Raikkonen’s driving talent will be a winning combination for the motorsport team.
Hometown victory for Busch
Born in the city of Las Vegas on 2 May 1985, Kyle Thomas Busch was destined to become a household name in the NASCAR industry, following in the footsteps of his brother Kurt. With supportive parents, Kyle was given the opportunity to explore his passion for driving from the early age of thirteen. Now, aged 23, Kyle Busch took his NASCAR career to a new high, by winning on his home turf in Las Vegas on Sunday.

Both the Kroger 200 and the Power Stroke Diesel 200 are set to take place at the O’Reilly Raceway Park before the end of the month. The Nationwide Series’ Kroger 200 is set to take place this Saturday on the 0.686-miletrack. This is something that shouldn’t surprise anybody, as the race has been taking place at the O’Reilly Raceway since 1982.
Busch Claims LifeLock.com 400 Victory
It seems that Kyle Busch is set to enjoy the season of a lifetime after he claimed yet another win this weekend at the Lifelock.com 400 held at the Chicagoland Speedway on Saturday Night. The race was tough and though it seemed that Busch had his sights set on the trophy from the start, there was a patch near the end when it seemed that victory had been swept out from under his feet.
