The Canadian Grand Prix, known to many French Canadians as the ‘Grand Prix du Canada’, is currently held at the beautiful Ile Notre-Dame in Canada during the month of June.
Description:
Since 1967 the Canadian Grand Prix has been associated with the Formula One World Championships and was first staged at the well known Mosport Park in the lovely Bowmanville in Ontario. However, due to safety concerns, the race was moved in 1978 to its permanent home at the lovely Ile Notre-Dame Circuit.
The race itself will take place on 8 June 2008, with practice sessions starting on 6 June. The Canadian Grand Prix consists of 10 laps, covering a race distance of 305.270 kilometers. R. Barrichello currently holds the lap record of 1:13.622 as set in 2004.
