Auto Racing Teams

Auto racing teams vary between each racing discipline from rally racing teams to Formula 1 racing teams. Racing teams are usually aligned with a particular make of car, parts manufacturer or automobile equipment manufacturer. Team owners may be affiliated with one or more manufacturers.

An example of team owner and manufacturing affiliates is the relationship between Bill Davis Racing which was announced as a Toyota team for 2007. BMW and DTM power racing have formed a team alliance. The company behind Team McLaren Mercedes is McLaren Racing.

Ferrari is well known for its Formula 1 racing team. Shell and Ferrari have developed a close relationship. Michael Schumacher has been winning races for the Ferrari team for several years.

Rally racing teams include the Subaru World Rally Team, Widget Rally Team, the Volkswagen Rally Team and more. Chevrolet has a well known touring car racing team.

There are many racing teams competing in different arenas and each has its own group of supporters.
